From the moment "Legs" came into the world, he has proven over and over again how much charisma
a horse truly can have, and how big a personality can be. He is larger than life, and believes that he is King of the World!
He was named after his beloved mother, whose "joie de vivre" in life was unmatched by any man or beast I ever met. Simply looking into Rhianna Rose's eyes
was enough to make me smile and love her forever. She would come out of her stall every morning with her tail over her back, a look of mischievious joy on her
beautiful dished face, and a sparkle in her beautiful eyes that said "What are we doing today? Whatever it is, it's going to be GREAT!"
And Legs is just like her! I named her son in her honor. He is impossible not to love, and life with him around is never dull. His charm is undeniable...his magnetism overwhelming! He inherited his mother's beautiful face and
constant "peacock" personality, always wanting to show off and have fun! His incredible confidence, inquisitive and people loving
disposition make him a lot of fun. He is a constant source of interesting activity...he loves playing with his ball, chasing the plastic bag when it is attached to the end of the whip,
playing and interacting with people, and being scratched. He also will call (at the top of his voice!) to those that he loves best whenever
he hears their voices anywhere on the property (or when we roll down the window and say 'hi' when we arrive home!) Amazingly, to show his love for "his people", when he recognizes our vehicle coming down the driveway, he runs up in an
awesome display of power and beauty, calling to us at the top of his lungs and welcoming us home.

Photos taken by Laurie Olmstead, August, 2010.
We never had a photo that captured the great beauty of Leg's dam, Rhianna Rose. She was the most beautiful Arabian mare I have ever seen. We didn't want that to happen with Legs! We felt that it would be difficult to capture his exotic desert dryness, and incredible eyes...and that constant charisma, as if he stepped out of a painting of an exotic desert horse of old. We feel we have finally scratched the surface in these new photos, but he still MUST be seen to be believed! In these photos, he is not clipped AT ALL, and it is easy to see, particularly in the closeups, his wonderful fine skin, as black as kohl...and like satin to the touch. His huge liquid eyes, wonderful facial structure, extreme type,
fantastic showy attitude, and impish personality are able to be seen even in these non-professional photos...without the extreme show clip seen today in so many photos. One cannot forget to mention that Legs also has absolutely extreme, natural tail carriage, and a powerful, ground covering trot as well.
He carries himself with a regal bearing,
with powerful forward movement and superb balance. He is, like his sire and dam, a solidly built, powerful, naturally gifted athlete of excellent substance and good movement.
A son of the superlative Imperial Imdal son, Sterling Vision, he is a beautiful blend of his Imperial Imdal, Nabiel, Richter mh (El Halimaar and RDM Maar Hala), Minstril, and Ramses Fayek blood...he comes honestly by
the qualities of some of the most important...and arguably most compelling and beautiful...Egyptian sires (and mares!) in the history of Arabian breeding. Reading like a "who's who" of Egyptian sires...not only those already mentioned, but also Farazdac, Ruminaja Ali, El Moongi, Ansata Ibn Halima, Sakr, Khofo, and Ansata Ibn Sudan. His direct sire, Sterling Vision, has an impressive show record including: 2007 Senior Reserve Champion, Egyptian Cup Europe, Frankfurt; 2007 Silver Premium German Stallion Licensing Show; 2008 Class Winner Egyptian Event Europe, Lanaken; & 2008 Senior Reserve Champion Asil Cup, Balve. *Notably, at the Egyptian Event Europe, Sterling Vision was beaten by the maternal grandsire to Leg's: Richter mh! Richter mh was the 2007 Senior Champion at the Egyptian Cup Europe, Frankfurt, and was the Senior Champion stallion at the Egyptian Event in 2007. Prior to these championships, Richter was 1997 US and Canadian Top Ten Futurity Stallion and 2000 Egyptian Event World Class Champion Stallion and Reserve Supreme Champion Stallion.

Sterling Vision is now at Ponnath Arabians in Germany, and Richter mh is at Al Khaled farm in Saudi Arabia. You may see photos and videos of both of these stallions on Leg's video, or may visit them at their respective websites.

His pedigree is also thick with superlative mares, great mares of matchless quality and timeless beauty...
mares like Nagda, Bint Magidaa, Dalia, Farasha, Sybella, Nibrias, RDM Maar Hala, Belbowrie Fayeka and Ansata Delilah. For reference photos of these great mares, click here.
We place even more emphasis
on the females in a pedigree than we do in the males. Legs goes tail female to the esteemed tail female line of Rodania, "arguably the most successful mare of all time,
in that she has more British, Canadian and U.S. halter champions than any other mare in Arabdom." (Gari Dill-Marlow)
From sleeping with me through storms or cuddling with my daughters as a newborn(scroll down for these adorable pictures!)to welcoming visitors today with infectious enthusiasm for life,
Legs is extremely friendly and people oriented.
He has suffered some injuries (he is always into EVERYTHING!) which have put his performance and show career on hold, but we look forward with enthusiasm to sharing his charisma and beauty in the halter arena in time...if he quits injuring himself getting into things!

And now, more beautiful photos from our August 2010 photo shoot!
One snowy day in October, following a blizzard, Ashleigh and Laurie turned 'Legs' out to play. At only a year and a half old, his infectious equine "laughter" just naturally drew us out to watch, and the following photographs were taken...no bathing, clipping, or grooming, just a young colt showing the world how to enjoy life and have fun! Even as a two year old, the beautiful white swan he is to become begins to emerge. It was also quite evident that he is becoming a powerful athlete thanks to his correct structure and a 'colt hood' filled with outdoor activities such as these! It is amazing to see how much he has grown in beauty just since these photos.
One photo from this day was featured on our December 2006 Christmas Card:
Left, 'Legs' in December 0f 2008 (still 3 years old.) Even with the winter woolies he is just beautiful! (Would you check out those *gorgeous* ears?)
Tragically, we lost Rhianna Rose the day 'Legs' came into the world.
Below, some of our favorite pictures from his time as a foal.
