Reference Letters and Client Comments

To Whom It May Concern:

For any person considering Laurie Wright for employment of any kind with horses, I am submitting the following letter of reference.

My association with Laurie has been through our mutual passion for Arabian horses. I personally received horses from Laurie that have been in her care, without a doubt, her horsemanship is excellent. Laurie has a good understanding of not only how to keep a horse healthy and sound, but happy and emotionally well balanced. I especially admire her patience and talent with young horses.

Over and above Laurie's knowledge of the Equine species, she is a terrific, dedicated person and a loyal friend. I would expect Laurie would do a terrific job in any type of management position pertaining to horses or any kind of animals. Laurie is the type that simply will not quit, on anything she believes in, and we are really proud to have her associated with us, Arabians Ltd., and certainly recommend her for any position of responsibility.

Sincerely,
Shawn Crews

I was honored to inspire this special Gift from a special person...Kristin Capehart, Indiana

Laurie, Ashleigh and Mikayla,

My mom informed me about the tragic loss of Rose...Rose was a beautiful horse and she had the best spirit. She wouldn't have been the horse she was without your loving touch. She had the best home and had an amazing life! Rose will always be with you in spirit! I bet your new baby boy will be a National Champion! I can't wait to come home and see your baby and you all. I'm honestly so glad to have you guys in my life. It is a true blessing. It's like having another mom and two little sisters...You are the most amazing horse trainer I know. You put your love in my horses and now they are the best horses! My baby is a true best friend of mine. Thank you for everything and all the experiences I've encountered with the horses. My riding only got to where it is because of you.

All My Love,
Michelle Cheatham

Laurie Wright-
This is the person I admire because she gives me confidence in my self. She teaches me trust and love when I have difficulties. When I go to her house, she makes me happy. Perhaps you're wondering how I met Laurie. Well, someone gave us her business card because I wanted to take riding lessons. Yes, it's true that I got all that stuff from horseback riding lessons. But when you ride a horse, you get so much more than just a ride.

Laurie is a very tough lady. She has a dog, cat, two kids, six horses, and a husband that might go back to Iraq! But Laurie keeps her chin up and doesn't give in to anything. And by the way, she is recovering from knee surgery. I am learning that no matter what happens, don't give in to fear. You can do anything!!!

Laurie,
Gary and I want to thank you for the time you spent showing us your beautiful arabians and teaching me some of the business end of raising Arabs. Your enthusiasm for your horses and for helping me get information was a pure delight for me. I wanted to just stay there and soak up everything you wanted to teach me. I sure do appreciate all your help.

During the summer of 1992, Laurie, a college student attending Colorado State University, was an intern assigned to Singletree Farm of Wasilla, Alaska. Part of her internship consisted of giving horseback riding lessons. She did an excellent job of teaching my two boys, ages six and eight, basic riding skills. She demonstrated not only patience, care and understanding with my children but also showed thorough knowledge of horsemanship and teaching skills. I am a certified regular and special education teacher with fifteen years of experience and I can confidently say that Laurie has the knowledge, teaching skills, and enthusiasm it takes to be a fine teacher!

In addition, after having observed the outstanding job Laurie was doing in teaching my young boys to ride, I decided that I too should learn to ride horses. I am over forty years old, and she also did a fine job instructing me. She easily adjusted her teaching style to accomodate an older student.

Finally, I observed Laurie's true love and care for horses. It is seldom one sees such ability, enthusiasm, care and dedication in an area of interest. Even to the casual observer it is obvious that she is extraordinarily knowledgeable of horses and their care. What is also admirable is her ability and willingness to share that knowledge of others.

Sincerely,

Dear Laurie,

I must thank you for your time and advice with the birth of our mare's foal in May. I so appreciated speaking with you on the phone so early in the morning. The foal began to nurse once "mom" understood her foal was here to "help" her. It was great to see nature continue its course, but if it hadn't continue, knowing an alternative route to ensure a live and healthy foal would have made all the difference! Wishing you much success in all your future equine endeavors,

Sincerely,
Mary Rodacey

Hi, Laurie!

So sorry that we haven't written. Everything here in Germany seems to take twice as long and is twice as hard. We are finally feeling settled after moving from our first home into another. We checked our e-mail often at first for photos of the new foal. I'm sure you have been busy as well or our e-mail was lost in the everyday shuffle. Savannah is now on her third riding teacher. The first was mean and made her cry! The second was very loving, and Savannah enjoyed the lessons a great deal. The problem was that she was learning in a group setting and Savannah was getting very lazy. She figured out that she could just let her horse follow the one in front! I was watching her get worse and I couldn't let it go on. My German neighbor found a riding stable just down the road from us. This teacher does individual lessons and so far we are happy. She has taken her back to the very basics of learning balance again. She is always on a lead line but has galloped many times. You should see her face!!! We just discovered Savannah's many pictures on your web site. It looks fantastic. Savannah misses you and Cherry very much. I really do wish that she could have stayed on with you. I have no doubt that under your guidance she would be galloping alone by now!! Please let us hear from you when you get a chance.

Gadiel has a lovely temperament and a kindness to him that is really special. I really think it is indicative of his sire. He is much typier than I expected, *you should be pleased. Ganges did NOT have a head like that as a yearling. We really loved Donica *a very nice mare. I thought she was a wonderful Probat type mare. I must say, Gadiel had a short back and nice length ofleg, so she works! I hope everything works out for you, let us know if you need anything.

"Remembering Rose"
Poem written by Kristin Capehart in memory of Rhianna Rose

I never knew you
so well as I should have liked,
You were an angel on four hooves,
A creature of the air,
You moved on feet of dew.
I close my eyes
And I can see you still
Proud noble lineage
All in your eyes proved.
You loved all so well
And were loved in much return
Your silken sheen of skin
We long to touch again.
